Every 3 seconds a group of computers around the world rolls a giant 16-sided die together. Nobody, not even them, can know the roll early. When you tap, your pick gets locked in a sealed log for a roll ~12 seconds in the future. Then the roll happens and we check. Luck alone gets 1 in 16 (6%). If someone keeps beating that by a lot over hundreds of taps, something is reaching back from the future.
